Warms Stomach and Liver; Tonifies Stomach and Liver; Subdues Rebellious Qi; Stops vomiting.   1) Cold from Deficiency of the Stomach. The Cold causes the Stomach-Qi to stagnate, which forces the Stomach-Qi to rebel upward, causing vomiting. 2) Cold from Deficiency of the Stomach and Liver. As the Cold (Yin) rebels upward, it follows the course of the Liver channel which results in headache at the vertex. 3) Cold attacking the Middle Burner.
