Preparation of zhi mu
The whole plant is harvest in summer or autumn. The rhizomes are removed from fibrous root and soil, cleaned and dried in the sun. They are soaked in water, peeled, and cut into slices. The rhizomes can also be processed with wine or salt-water.;
