Preparation
The drug is collected from September to November. After the fibrous roots have been removed, the rhizomes are washed and cut into slices. If they are pounded to extract the juice, the drug is called Jiang Ye. If the skin is peeled off for usage, the drug is called Sheng Jiang Pi (Cortex Zingiberis Officinalis Recens). Roasted ginger is called Wei Jiang.;
