Preparation of chuan shan jia
The pangolin is captured all the year round, killed, treated with boiling water for a moment. The scales is taken down, washed clean, and dried in the sun. Before use, the scales are scalded with sand until yellow in color. Sometimes, vinegar is added before drying them in the sun. Preserve in a dry place.;
